The Lurefans CC60 Cunning Cub is a compact slow sinking crankbait designed for stable casting, silent approach and strong freshwater searching power. With a low-centre-gravity body, BKK black nickel hooks and feather tail attraction, it is built for targeting bass, trout, redfin, perch and other freshwater predators.

Product Description:
The Lurefans CC60 Cunning Cub is the original larger model in the Cunning Cub series, built around a compact crankbait body with strong practical fishing performance. At 60mm and 9.5g, it offers a slightly larger profile than the CC50 while keeping the same core design idea: stable casting, silent presentation and reliable fish-catching action.

The CC60 uses a slow sinking silent setup with an approximate sink rate of 6 seconds per metre. This allows anglers to control depth by counting the lure down before starting the retrieve. It is especially useful when fish are holding below the surface, along deeper banks, near rocks, submerged timber, weed edges or current seams.

Its low-centre-gravity design improves casting stability and helps the lure fly smoothly in different wind directions. The body is fitted with BKK black nickel hooks featuring an anti-rust coating, high rigidity and strong penetration, helping maintain sharpness and hook-up confidence in freshwater and light brackish conditions.

The feather tail hook adds subtle movement on the sink and pause, reducing fish suspicion and improving attraction when the lure is held still or worked slowly. Combined with the silent design, the CC60 is well suited to pressured water, clear water and fish that are cautious around loud rattling lures.

Australian Fishing Applications:
For Australian conditions, the CC60 is well suited to creeks, rivers, streams, reservoirs, lakes, rocky pools, timber-lined banks and upper estuary freshwater/brackish zones.

Compared with the CC50, the CC60 has a slightly larger profile and slower sink, making it useful when fish are willing to eat a bigger bait but still need a controlled, quiet presentation.

It is a strong option for Australian bass, trout, redfin, golden perch, estuary perch, sooty grunter and saratoga. It can also be used around upper-estuary structure for bream and flathead when they are feeding on small baitfish or crustaceans.

Best Conditions:
Clear to lightly stained water
Creeks, rivers, pools and reservoirs
Rocky edges, timber, weed beds and undercut banks
Still water or slow to moderate current
Cold water or pressured fish situations
When fish are following but not striking loud lures
When a slower sinking crankbait is needed to hold in the strike zone

Recommended Retrieve:
After casting to the target area, allow the CC60 to sink for 2-3 seconds before starting the retrieve. During the sink, the body movement and feather tail can create natural attraction.

Use light rod shakes, short twitches and pauses to increase the lure’s triggering power. A steady retrieve can also catch fish, but adding pauses is recommended, such as four handle turns followed by a one-second pause.

For longer-distance searching, use a twitching retrieve and watch for the lure to shift sideways during pauses. You can also use a steady retrieve with upward, middle and downward rod angles to control swimming depth. Stop the retrieve occasionally and let the lure sink again before continuing.

In deeper pools, count the lure down to the desired depth, then retrieve slowly with pauses to keep it close to structure. In shallow water, begin retrieving sooner and use gentle rod lifts to keep the lure working above bottom.
