Details
The EWE Dreamblade is a lightweight, responsive long-cast spinning rod built for covering water from Australian beaches, headlands, rock platforms and open estuary banks. Its fast-rebounding blank helps send metal jigs and hard lures efficiently while retaining the sensitivity and control needed to work lures accurately and manage hard-running fish.
Key features
- PAS Power Assist System is designed to reduce casting effort and improve blank rebound efficiency.
- VD Vibration Damping System helps minimise unwanted blank vibration during the cast.
- Toray T1100 carbon construction with reverse-wound carbon reinforcement balances low weight, sensitivity and rigidity.
- Yinlong ferrule connection strengthens the two-piece blank, reduces rebound loss and supports a smooth bending curve.
- Medium-fast action delivers a practical balance of casting load, lure control and fish-fighting power.
Australian fishing applications
Well suited to shore-based lure fishing where distance matters, including surf gutters, headlands, rock ledges, breakwalls and broad estuary flats. The 902M-S is a versatile option for lighter metals, minnows and soft plastics, while the 962MH-S provides extra length and power for heavier lures, stronger wind and wash.
Target species
Ideal for Australian salmon, tailor, bonito and trevally, as well as flathead and other predatory estuary or inshore species encountered while casting from the shore.
How to use
Choose a lure within the stated casting range, allow the blank to load smoothly through the cast and use a controlled follow-through rather than forcing the tip. Match retrieve speed to the lure: burn metal jigs for actively feeding pelagics, work minnows with sweeps and pauses, or hop soft plastics along drop-offs and gutters.
